Honestly, I think I’m like 80% adjusted to a life of being wired shut for 6 weeks.
Don’t really have an appetite, No pain (haven’t taken any pain meds since I left the hospital and I’m 8 days post-op) the numbness is going away quite faster than I thought it would to be honest. I have total feeling back in my lower lip, which I hear is one of the places to get it back last and is pretty susceptible (more so than other places) of permanent nerve damage, which is awesome~
I lost already 12 lbs which is crazy and so unhealthy (I’m pretty sure it’s all muscle and water weight) can’t wait to see the doc so I can find out when I get to go back to my yoga at least.
Other than that, I’m good I feel as normal as I did before surgery. I even went on public transpot and to school today with my swelled up face and chin dressing - the stares~ oh and I conveniently tripped and almost fell on someone.
I wrote a post earlier on about how much this surgery sucks but it really only last for about 2 days after I came home. Thank god, everything started to turn up a lot early in the game then I thought it would. Things really do get better as sucky as they might be in the moment.
I’m sorry, I didn’t know getting double jaw surgery to resolve bite problems and avoid health complications that will arise later on in my life if not corrected makes me “fake”
Sigh, I try to clean the negative people from my life and yet they always find a way of showing up anyways.
